OMVF in Tbilisi!

Oulu Music Video Festival and Elektorni are excited to arrive in beautiful Tbilisi with a night of amazing movies, music videos and music!

We are proud to present the captivating and inspiring Sähkö (1995) movie directed by Jimi Tenor, as well as one hour of rare Finnish music videos of the leftfield variety.

The cult movie Sähkö is a unique snapshot in time of the activities of Sähkö Recordings-affiliated artists like Tommi Grönlund, Mika Vainio, Mono Junk and more. The beautifully shot and at times abstract movie depicts the artists touring, making music in the studio and building DIY musical instruments. A must-see for all fans of electronic music!

The second screening, Leftfield and Obscure Finnish Music Videos 1994–2025, presents one hour of rare Finnish music videos, most of which cannot be found on YouTube. Your once-in-a-lifetime chance to see, for example, Finnish tango enter into dialogue with modern electro, and broody ambient shake hands with tracker techno and digital dub. Visually, the screening encompasses everything from performance videos to early computer graphic experimentation, VHS edits and beautiful grainy film footage.

Oulu Music Video Festival is the oldest music video festival in the world and has held the Finnish music video competition since 1994. For 2026 OMVF launched its first European music video competition, open to amongst others, Georgian submissions, until June 8 at filmfreeway.com/omvf!

After the movies, the night continues with DJ sets streamed live on Mutant Radio.
