One week until the festival – ticket sales are heating up!

2025-08-14

The 32nd Oulu Music Video Festival kicks off next Thursday, August 21. The festival’s opening screening will present the world’s first generative feature-length film, a portrait of visionary musician Brian Eno, known for producing David Bowie, U2, and Talking Heads, as well as pioneering ambient music. Buy your tickets here.

Eno (2024) is quite literally a “once in a lifetime” cinematic experience. Director Gary Hustwit has been involved in developing the Brain One AI software, which creates a unique, never-before-seen cut of the film for each screening. The software draws from hundreds of hours of interview and archival footage, as well as previously unreleased music, and is estimated to be capable of generating tens of quintillions of variations. OMVF has commissioned an entirely new cut for the festival—one that will never be shown anywhere else.

Tickets are currently on sale, and demand is already strong. In addition to Eno, some of the most popular events include Mr. Lordi’s guest appearance and Friday night’s cine-concert. If you want to see the monster man in the flesh and witness something truly unique with Eno and live-scored silent films, now’s the time to grab your tickets!

Festival screening tickets are sold at the Cultural Centre Valve ticket office, Hallituskatu 7, tel. +358 8 5584 7575. Open Wed–Sun 12:00–19:00. During the festival, ticket sales open one hour before the first screening. Tickets can also be purchased at Oulu10 service points, at www.ticketmaster.fi, and at Ticketmaster outlets. Ticketmaster purchases are subject to delivery and handling fees.

Screenings in the National Competition and National Panorama are free of charge. Special screenings and film screenings are €10 unless otherwise stated. A 5-ticket special screening pass costs €35. Tickets for the joint screening of Opus 9413& Lunar Dust are €15 and cannot be purchased with a pass. The All Inclusive pass (€100) covers all music video and film screenings, the silent film concert, and the Pumpeli Gala.
