Oulu Music Video Festival is a festival that celebrates the art of music video and audiovisual culture in general. The festival has been held yearly since 1994. It is organized by non-profit/charity association Oulun musiikkividefestivaalit ry. The association also runs the world’s biggest archive of Finnish music videos, which currently hosts 6657 Finnish music videos. The festival’s producer is Juhani Oivo and artistic director is Ansku Nousiainen. The association’s board has eight people in it. The association also organises Doc Lounge documentary club nights in Oulu as well as music video events year-round in Oulu and beyond.

Oulu Music Video Festival aims to organise all festival guest travels by train whenever possible and organises all festival guest and volunteer dining vegan. We also aim to provide recycling points at festival venues.

The festival takes place in and around the center of Oulu. The venues are Kulttuuritalo Valve’s Valvesali, movie theater Studio, 45 Special, Zivago, Fingersoft, Kulttuurilaboratorio, Valveen paljetti, Real Deal and RIO.

The festival’s screening tickets will be sold from August 9th on at Kulttuuritalo Valve’s ticket office, located at Hallituskatu 7, p. 08 5584 7575. The office is open Wednesday through Thursday from 14 to 19 and Friday through Sunday from 12 to 19. During the festival the ticket office opens one hour before the first screening. From August 9th on tickets are also sold in Oulu10 service points, from www.ticketmaster.fi and Ticketmaster’s ticket offices. When you buy your tickets from Ticketmaster, a service fee is added to the price.

Tickets to the music video screenings are €5 and film screenings €8. Valve’s ticket office sells festival ticket packages: 5 x €5 tickets for the package price of €15 and 5 x €8 tickets for the package price of €25.

45 Special’s after-party tickets from the door €15 (€13,5 in advance including Ticketmaster’s service fee) per night. Two-night tickets are only sold in advance on Ticketmaster for €20 (including the service fee).
