Pumpeli Award Gala is known to surprise and dazzle its audience by serving obscurity and hilarity in just the right measures. The gala is known by being the best-kept secret of the Northern city of Oulu, but things might change this year. You might receive some bits and pieces of information beforehand - if you get lucky. Pumpeli Award Gala Presents the Best Videos
The preliminary jury of the Finnish Music Video Contest selects the videos for approximately 10 contest screenings, depending on the number of videos submitted. These videos participate in the contest for the main prizes: the Golden Pumpeli and the Teen Pumpeli awards along with honorary mentions. However, all the videos will be admitted to a Finnish Music Video Showcase and compete for the audience award, the People's Pumpeli.
An international and independent jury consisting of professionals and consumers of audiovisual media will select the best videos from the contest screenings. The directors of the best videos will be awarded with Pumpeli statuettes. What is more, the director of the best video will be awarded with a monetary prize of 2,500 euros.
