OMVF 2017 turns focus to questions that keep us occupied in times of changing media and contemplates: Who create the modern legends? Who do we turn to in times of uncertainty? Where do we get strength from?
"Oulu Music Video Festival and such collective events function as an instrument for understanding and experiencing the world and culture around us. Who are those that we listen to around modern campfires? Who has given voice to the eccentrics before the internet era? Furthermore, where is the new technology in art? A great effort is put into Virtual Reality in many fields, but what are music videos based on VR-technology like?"
