Festival programme adds educational content

This year's festival presents two seminars. The programme opens at Cultural Centre Valve on Wednesday 25 August with a digital marketing seminar that is aimed at our professional audience. Keynote speakers at this seminar include members from the American band OK Go who are known for their incredible videos. At the Dagens Digi Seminar the audience gets to hear Finnish professionals like the journalist and communications consultant Antti Isokangas, and Kimmo Valtanen, the managing director at Sony Music Finland. The seminar is organized in co-operation with Center for Internet Excellence, North Finland Film Commission, digital media product development project Dimeke, and Työmaa advertising agency.

Rock Dream 2010 seminar, aimed at your younger rock audience, is held in co-operation with OMVF and Valmistamo Project at the Kirkkotori training centre on Friday 27 August. Speakers include central movers and shakers in the Finnish music world – Mikko Meriläinen (A&R / Sound of Finland), Jani Kortti (producer / YleX), Eeka Mäkynen (Promoter / Nosturi) and Pete Veijalainen (music video director / Woodpecker Film) – who will discuss band marketing, today's practises in the music business and the significance of visual aspects in artist promotion.

Registration information for both seminars can be found at Programme site.
