In year 2013 the association held two events: music film festival MusiXine in March and Oulu Music Video Festival in August.

The 20th anniversary Oulu Music Video Contest was arranged in 21.-25.8.2013. Music video shows, live clubs and other sideline events as well as the electronic music festival Time Tunnel draw, altogether, 4 100 visitors. Finnish Music Video Contest screenings in the culture centre Valve attracted the audience remarkably well. Themes of the special screenings were e.g. awarded videos from the past 20 years and Michal Jackson screenings. The festival week and the cooperation with yle.fi/musiikki-internet site culminated on Sunday (25.8.) when Yle Teema-TV channel aired a show which compiled a documentary of OMVF’s importance to Finnish music video scene as well as the awarded videos of the festival.
