The Oulu Music Video Festival reached the honourable age of five years. The Finnish Music Video Contest included a record-breaking number of videos, and special series offered both domestic and foreign rarities. Air Guitars roared in promotion of world peace and the festival once again received international fame. The festival grew in nearly all respects: a more international and extensive programme was started already on Thursday, and the festival spread out to restaurants and around the town. The number of festival visitors nearly doubled: a record-breaking audience of 20,000 people visited the Oulu Music Video Festival events.
