Oulu Music Video Festival is a five day celebration of music and moving pictures. The Music Video Festival is not only a rendezvous for music video professionals, but also a meeting place for film and media students - as well as for all music-loving souls alike!

We practise what we’ve been preaching for 17 years: OMVF devotes the festival solely to bringing you the best music videos from around the globe. We hold the Finnish music video contest and award the best at the frenzy of Pumpeli Award Gala. Our manifesto is that music videos deserve to be shown on a big screen – at least once a year.

Special Screenings programme seeks out the latest trends and dives into the music filled media memory of humankind by showcasing the hottest video retrospectives both by artists and directors, and international music video prehistory.

And when your bottom starts feeling numb, OMVF flexes your muscles with a plethora of additional events that spread over the city of Oulu, from Silakka Clubs to Air Guitar World Championships.  This summer OMVF and friends also brought the audience The Festival Tent, the sanctuary of live music located in Lammassaari Island, in the very heart of Oulu.
