Fandom is not only for little girls!

Pop culture without fans and idols is like a herring in the coleslaw. Therefore OMVF dedicates the special screenings 2009 to fan culture!

We have adored guitar heroes as gods for generations – somewhere else pop phenomena have been banned for decades, or at least condemned. OMVF presents fans and fanatism as their purest: in the special screenings, the floor is open for the dedicated adorers of different artists, who can at best raise the yesterday’s idol back to the throne. We also included some artist documentaries made especially for fans. As a screening curiosity, the microphone is also handed to the artists themselves who kindly agreed to share their most fawned music videos with us.

Besides all this, the festival frenzy goes on in our live programme with clubbing, prevailing MusiXine films and the ultimate crairziness, the Air Guitar World Championships.

Being a fan creates meaning in life. Appreciation is for pretenders, let’s be fairly fans!
