Metal
Our special themes please especially those savoring the heavier kind of rock. Receiving its Finnish premiere, Global Metal documentary presents the anthropologist and metal head Sam Dunn, who traces fans of metal all the way in China, Indonesia and Iran. And since we got started, the steely trip continues with Dunn's previous film Metal: A Headbanger's Journey (2005).
To top it all, we also bring you the thrash metal chronicle Get Thrashed (2006) and the Wacken Open Air documentary Full Metal Village (2006). Hard rock is also approached with a smirk on our face: the ultimate air guitar flick Air Guitar Nation is screened in an authentic film style. In addition to this, our cooperation with MTV Finland brings on the screen the Best of Headbanger's Ball, the dedicated metal show on MTV.
