Glimpse of Humour and Dark Rock Shades at the Silakka Clubs
Jesse and Klaus Thunder & Ukkosmaine (Wed 20 Aug / 45 Special / 10 p.m. / 6 €)
Wednesday lets humor bloom: Kalifornia-Keke and Stiletti-Ana, also known as Jesse, are let loose with their trash-fusion-trance capers. Jesse's production is a plunge into the world of Keke and Ana where chicks, cars and stolen shit abound and the music is made on synthesizers only. The boys train to become virtuosos - just like Toto. All that ambition warrants a visit to their live show.
In the spirit of cheesy Finnish disco pop of the early 90s, Klaus Thunder & Ukkosmaine opens for Jesse with their irresistible disco-pop electro and warm up those hearts, and booties. Enjoying a cult reputation, Klaus Thunder and Wilhelm Meister are cleanly romantic men who look forward to enchanting the festival audience with by unabashed songs of love.

Plain Ride (Fri 22 Aug / 45 Special / 12 a.m. / 6 €)
The melodramatic psych-folk sound of Plain Ride has echoes of American country and blues but also of experimental krautrock, without really being either folk or avant-garde. This upcoming indie act sails on waters friendly both to improvisation and carefully contemplated tones.
Eleanoora Rosenholm (Sat 23 Aug / 45 Special / 12 a.m. / 6 €)
Saturday comes to an end with the dark lyrical pop of Eleanoora Rosenholm. This ingenious newcomer has won over both the critics and the indie audience with the murderous lyrics and compositions. Eleanoora Rosenholm takes the Silakka club to a disco suited for every man-slaughtering serial killer.

Joose Keskitalo (Wed 20 Aug / Never Grow Old / 10.30 p.m. / 4 €)
The Festival Wednesday goes into sentimental shades of folk and blues with Joose Keskitalo. Characterized as the polar opposite of all over-produced music, the artist is hailed as a songwriter conscious of traditions, but yet honest, original and uncompelled. Joose gives a solo performance of his fragile and minimalistic songs at the NGO.
The relaxed weekend beat of the Never Grow Old are served by DJ Don Schmocko - Breaks,Beats & Circumstances (DE) and Reggae Massive Soundsystem.
